Ramón Casanova, New CEO & Director at Grupo HYCSA

Ramón Casanova has been appointed as the new General Director and CEO of Grupo HYCSA. Casanova, an alumnus of the Executive MBA program at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), combines a distinguished academic background with over 20 years of professional experience in various areas of business management, making him the ideal leader to guide the company towards new growth and consolidation goals.

Throughout his career, Casanova has held significant roles in various companies and sectors. He served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at GRUPO HYCSA from August 2021 to December 2024 and as General Director of Administration and Finance from April 2019. In this latter role, he led the financial strategy, asset control, and investor relations. Additionally, he served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Directors from October 2019.

His career also includes his role as a Member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Autosur SA de CV since October 2017 and as Chairman of the Board of IMEF CDMX during 2023. Between 2017 and 2019, he was Divisional Director for the Gulf Peninsula at Akaan Transamerica, where he led the expansion and promotion of financial products in the region. Prior to that, Casanova spent 18 years at Banamex, holding various leadership positions, including Regional Director and Zone Director, where he was responsible for managing and overseeing commercial and financial operations in several regions of the country.
